The logging industry is also a very big driver of deforestation. Even FSC logging, using reduced-impact logging, kills 5-10 trees per tree that is harvested. The rotting trees create emormous amounts of greenhouse gasses. It makes the forest very vulnerable to fire also.
Yes, and they’ve been cutting it down for decades food agriculture to feed cows etc which is the major contributor of Methane gas and other pollutions to this planet.

How is human pollution not contributing to the acceleration of global warming? People like you are diluted! Research your facts! Aside from all the greenhouse gases and water wasted in meat production, there is also the impact on the area it is produced in, according to every major scientist who ever did any research.
Good going Greenpeace! It is important to show the world how important it is to stop supporting the very industry that will destroy our planet if we don’t change our ways. Switch to a vegan diet and halt global warming in it’s tracks! The amazon is the lungs of our planet and if we keep deforesting it we are removing a very important source of oxygen- without which we will die.
I don’t know how well you know this information, because in an Inconvenient Truth they actually show that the current rate of climate acceleration is mammoth and it’s never been like this through our entire history. Even though there were periods of warming, it never went off the charts like it’s stared doing over the last few years.
Antropological golbal warming is a complete lie, the planet has cooled down and warmed up over millions of years and will continue to do so. What do people think brought us out of the last ice age, coal burning furnaces!

I have only lived in a place with more than 2000 peopl for the last 3 years.
Greenpeace is an environmental organisation. The presence of the meat industry in this campaign is incidental (beside the prevalence of poor environmental practices among many meat producers). The vege/vegan discussion lies elsewhere.
